Seems like we should be teaching new hunters to obey the law, not fear the law officer.  If an old salt seems to think that you are in danger of being cited/arrested by an acquaintance for legally enjoying your hunt then he should confront that law and have it improved upon.  Don't worry whether or not anyone here cares if you are going to hunt differently then they do.   That is between you and those you hunt with.  Have fun, I shoot them all the time, but I mostly bow hunt.

It's a good idea to shoot a lot when hunting deer.  Deer can be gunshy, so you got to keep them acclimated.  They get used to hearing those guns go off, then pretty soon they'll walk right up to you & you can feed them apples by hand.   :chuckle:
