Inherited Antlers - Family Keepsake
«
on:
November 24, 2014, 09:54:23 AM »
Had a friend come by with some deer and elk antlers he got from his Dad's estate. Told me he wanted to have something connected to those antlers to give to all the men in his Dad's family. Here's what we ended up with! I thought it was a pretty amazing idea!

Another project for the same guy with the same antlers...
I can do these without the gun if you send me a set of sacrifice grips.

Those are some sweet grips! What is the average cost for grips if the antlers are supplied? Say for a Ruger single six?
Thanks

I need a set of donor grips to cannibalize for the project, that goes without saying. Assume that. They can be beat, but they have to be solid.
For the most part, YOUR Antler would go about $75.
MY antler would go about $90.
Other materials would vary based on the materials in question. (Musk Ox horn? Maybe $550! You get the idea, it can vary a lot!)
