Best place to buy a Knight Muzzleloader?
« on: November 24, 2014, 07:27:56 PM »
I have narrowed down my muzzy purchase to a Knight western edition (maybe the bighorn), anyone recommend a good place to purchase one?   I noticed Cabelas doesn't sell them (on line or at store).

Anyone have a favorite place to buy one?

Thanks for your help!

Think you can order direct from Knight, if that is an option.

If you get down south Big J's in Orting carries a good selection of Knights. After you get one buy a range ramrod as the one in the rifle will sometimes pull loose the epoxied in insert, so the less use you put on it the better. I am still waiting for a response from Knight on it.

Muzzleloaders Supply Puyallup. 32 years serving and still going. Just looked at two nice Knights there this weekend. Everything for the muzzleloader both modern and traditional.
Whatever........

Had that happen to mine.

Waiting for a response from Knight could be a very long process! Over 2 months waiting for my issue to be resolved. Going to make another call today.

I hefted a few Knights at Skagit Arms in Burlington yesterday.  Nice rifles, indeed.  The gents at the counter were friendly.  I've bought a few times from them & never had a bad experience.  If you can, go there on a week day.  Much more sane.  :)

I just ordered my first black powder from www.muzzle-loaders.com today. I chose the CVA Accura V2 NW Edition. They were cheaper than cabelas and all of the local joints. Easy webpage and good prices! Good luck!

www.budsgubshop.com
www.davidsonsgalleryofguns.com ( gungenie )
www.lowpriceguns.com ( Bellevue )

Nobody local can beat these prices from what I've found. They have buying power behind them.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

:yeah: I ordered a CVA Optima from these guys today.  I received very helpful emails from Jeff at Muzzle-loaders.com over the weekend.  He gave me so much info, it was easy to figure out what to buy.  The gun was shipped the same day.  Should get here in two business days via priority mail.  He even offered to customize a gun for me to make it NW compliant.  I haven't seen service like this in years.  I hope they do well.

Thanks all!  I am now trying to narrow down which one to buy.  I see Muzzle-loaders.com on the forum, I will give them a call before I place an order.  I am a serious muzzy newbie so I will have lots of questions  :)

If there are any other good recommendations I am all ears!

Thanks again!

I got a response from Knight to send the rod in. Will have to wait till I'm done hunting and hopefully I only need one reload while out in the woods waiting to make sure the buck is down. Range rod just a little too long and bulky to carry.

I will 2nd (or 3rd) Muzzle-loaders.com (Myrtle Creek Inc. on the forum).  They are wonderful guys and I have had nothing but a great experience in dealing with them.  And on top of their wonderful customer service, their prices are very hard to beat.  They are top notch!
