A buck we call "Scar back"
« on: November 24, 2014, 11:47:02 PM »
Back in 2012 shed hunting we found this bucks left side and a short distance by it was a trail cam on the ground full of water and broken(looked like a bear ate it)  I downloaded the pics ato see that this buck had shed his antlers on cam or atleast the side we found back in 2011 so it had layed there awhile. the following year I decided to see if he was still alive and to my surprise he was a little smaller and missing a g4. Hunted him in the stand about 5 days total in single digits and never saw him. This year rolls around and we decide to see if hes still there,so up we go and hang cams. Checked them last week and hes alive. He should be 8 1/2 yrs old this year and looks to be healthier than ever. Girlfriend gets first crack at him this week as Ill be heading north for a couple big ones.

looks like a bullet may of caused this in Oct since its scabbed up

2011 shed

this year

Nice looking buck, but what a scrawny doe.  I wonder if she will make it through the winter.  Good luck on getting this guy.

Awesome pic of him after he shed. How far was the shed from the camera?

Shed was found 6ft from cam

Buck was killed this morning while I was in the stand hunting him. A landowner a mi from me whacked him. Congrats to him and off I go to chase another 8 yr old buck I found out was alive a few days ago.
