So one person hunting behind fences is a jerk, but another one is a hero??? Hunting is hunting.. If its legal then who are we to talk smack about it. If you don't like the mans show, do what I do with Nugents show, and just don't watch it.

For starters Tony this is what you posted after I gave my opinion of Ted. I never called anyone a jerk but your reply implys that I did, not appreciated!

Secondly you say hunting is hunting and if legal why talk smack about it. Once again you are implying that I "talked smack" which I never did, not appreciated!!

Then you go on to say if I don't like the show just dont watch it, implying that I said I didn't like the mans show which I never said, last time NOT APPRECIATED!!!

Regardless of what these "spokesman" do for our hunting rights, they take a step back when they do these canned hunts.  Look at the big picture.  These people are in the spotlight and they set the standard for all hunters.  It is easy for the anti's and nuetrals to associate us with them.  If you pick up a rifle, shotgun, or bow, you represent hunting and hunters.

Look at what Mcgwire, Bonds, and Canseco did to Major League Baseball.  Yeah they donated a lot of money to charity, united fans, and put smiles on people faces for many years, but it was a very sad ending for all of them and put a black eye on "America's Pastime".

If you choose to participate in a sport, please represent in the best possible light at all times.

I love it how the people on the TV shows get all emotional about how amazing they are b/c they donated the meat to a shelter or helped feed a family.  Thats BS.  All they did was shoot the animal, keep the horns, and have no obligation to eat what they shot.

huntnphool,,

My statements were in general, and Not directed to any one person. You need to read the post for what I said. Take you feelings off your shoulders.. At no time did I direct anything to YOU . If I direct a statement to anyone I will, and do put thier names up before I post.

If you go back and look up any post that has to do with anyone hunting behind fences then you'll see my point. Its implied that "Who ever hunts behind fences are slobs, has no respect for the animals, and are not hunters. My point is that maybe we should treat all the same and not make exceptions to the rule just because some are out spoken and some are not.

To me one persons way of HUNTING is no better or nor worse than another persons way of HUNTING.

With that said I done with this post..

Typically a post is directed at the person above the reply unless accompanied with a quote from a different post or started addressed to a particular member. Since you didn't specify anyone and didn't quote anyone I assumed it was directed at me since it was the next post in line. If it wasn't directed at me then I apologize and stand corrected, I think you can understand why I took it that way.

You think at 25 you have fished more of that river than me? :chuckle: Unless you are fishing above the dam we are fishing the same water ;)

I do fish above the dam at times for the big boys, more for the keepers though in the winter,  and dont put age into it! the area I fish for oversize is still mostly new to people, 5 years ago I never saw any boats out there.. not even you! and now most weekdays i dont see any boats or one or two other at best.....
