Late Archery 407/454 or??

Hello all-

I am new to the west side and looking to go out late season, preferably in 407/454 but open to some other ideas as well.  Looking to fill my deer or Western Elk tag.  I have a rather larger family so I am not looking for trophy, just meat.  If anyone has any great ideas on where to go I would love to hear about them!  Open to going out with others as well.

I am open to going down to 660, 663, 667 or again other places on the west side as I am in Kenmore/Bothell area

There aren't a lot of options if you don't have a timber company pass, especially without prior scouting. You could try Capitol Forest for deer. Just expect lots of company. For elk I don't know what to tell you.

407 is one of the worst units for elk.  They come into the unit a few times a year and then back to 418.  There are many years when the harvest numbers are <5(most years actually). There area few resident elk but they are very far between.  There will be lots of company up there too.  There is both deer and elk season for 2 weapon choices.
If it's archery 520 might be your best bet.    :twocents:
P.s. you will need a Weyerhaeuser permit for my suggestions.

Thanks for the replies.  I will take a look at those suggestions, I also will have time in Dec from around the 16th-20th so I am hopeful I will be able to tag something.
