Favorite deer and elk bullets

What is your favorite deer and elk bullets? Just curious what everybody else is shooting.

Right now i'm shooting 140gr accubonds out of my .270 for deer and elk. But i would like try the federal trophy bonded tip .

210 gr. Nosler Partitions  in my .338 for elk

Deer, I run 150 gr. Nosler Ballistic tips in my .308, or 140 gr. same bullet in my 7-08, or 120 gr. Nosler Partitions for my .257 A.I.

165gr partitions in my 30.06 for both deer and elk....also been trying the barnes tsx but havent shot anything with them yet
also got a bunch of 175gr bullets that use in the 7mm not sure what they are called because they are old and in a different container now but they workw onders big ol round nosed.........I call them torpedos

I like those roundnosed 175gr rascals too, for my 7x57.  I'm out of them now; may try Grafs and see if they have any.  I need to find some 200-grain roundnosed softpoints for my 8x56MS, too; it shoots those old factory Westerns so well I want to duplicate the load.  Anybody got 200gr RNSP .323's?  .322's?  I shoot too much to buy premium bullets for all my oddballs, but those roundnosed slugs do devastate deer & elk-sized critters.  Buffalo has 250gr .356's for the 9x57, but the ones I tried shot funny, and they cost over four bits apiece, so I guess I need a new source for them, too.  I've got some -06 stuff on the "pay it forward" part of the site, if anybody wants to trade.  Good luck with the big storm, if it ever materializes, and mind yer topknots!  windy

150-180 grn nosler balistic tip.  whatever i hit doesnt seam to get up. kinda like it that way.

Ive only bowhunted for elk but deer I use 180 gr winchester fail safe formerly known as black talons in my 300 win mag. They seem to get the job done.

I shoot 30 cal most of the time, but  I listed the minimum weights I prefer.  The weights just start out at the 284 norm. 

Deer = 140 + gr  Nosler Ballistic Tip
Elk = 160 + gr Nosler Partiion

Best elk bullet I have ever seen 284/160 Partition @ 3050fps.  Never recovered one yet, and never had an elk take more then five steps.

I would think either of those would be great for both deer and elk or anything else you want to punch holes through.  Might try Interbonds or TSXs.  If what ya got is shootin well, I'm not sure it'd be worth changin though.

I really prefer to develop 1 load for each gun & for all game I intend to hunt w/ it.  I don't mess around changing bullet weights.  Deer doesn't care if he's gettin shot w/ an elk bullet.

I would have to say 200gr accubonds out of my .338 win for both.

I use 180 GR North Forks for both deer and elk. Sako TRGS 7.82 Warbird.

I use a 7mm with 140gr. Nosler Partition hand loads for both.

130 gr Barns TSX out of my 270 WSM. 150 grain TSX out of my 7MM.

I use 168gr TSX for everything out of my 300 Win Mag. 

I think a 130gr TSX out of your 270 would be good for deer and elk.  But like Intruder said, if the 140 Accubond is shooting well, there should be no need to change.

I shoot a 300 accumark weatherby and went to accubond 180 and have had good luck with it and have found it shoots the accubonds a little better than the partitions. I think if you get around the 3000 foot you are in the ballgame any more powder just makes more recoil.

I actually really liked how the 200gr accubond performed on my Canada Moose this year out of my 325wsm.  My 300winny with 180gr swift scirocco's is my go to elk and deer gun if I have the opportunity to hunt both at the same time.  The bonded bullets with polymer tips have performed very well for me in multiple different calibers at lots of different terminal velocities.
