Lion walked past the house
«
on:
December 20, 2008, 08:36:20 AM »
A few days ago I came out to put the dogs in the kennel. I have been putting them in the dogbox at night together for a little extra warmth. As I walk out the door, both dogs have their heads out the back of the box. Trouble is I don't have....or didn't have, an opening out the back of my box. They've never done anything like that before. About a half hour later I found midsize lion tracks that came down to an apple tree in our yard where the deer feed and walked 10 feet behind the house! I guess Bo tried to eat his way out of the box. When I took him out he was pulling hard to go over where the tracks were.

It always suprises me that they live so close to civilization without being seen. I'm familiar with your part of the country and it's not the city, but it's not way out in the boondocks either. Keep those dogs warm!
