Missing out on that one has to leave a sinking feeling!  One hell of a buck.

Very cool looking deer and thanks for posting  He appears to have 4 seperate mainbeams.  I can see where the H-1 measrement will be taken but would be curious to know where the other three mass measurements come from?  How about the inside spread credit measurement?  Very unique...

Very very cool looking buck!  That would be quite the experience to have been within 5 yds of him ............... but man the heartache of watching him run off had to be brutal.   :sry:  Thanks for posting the pics.

Anyone on here an official scorer? I would be interested to know how they score it.

I agree, not close to any record or anything, but, what a buck! Truly unique. I'd say for score, they'd measure that inside rack ( two pt. with eyeguards) for the frame and everything else would be junk.

I've seen a few double beamed whiteys, but never anything like him. I would have loved to see him in a year or two.

Not sure about deer, but with moose, double paddles are often caused by a genetic defect which causes the old antlers to break off deeper into the pedicle than normal causing subsequent antlers to grow funny. It's very common in moose of the Copper River Delta in Alaska which has a herd that originated from a small transplanting from the Kenai Peninsula. It is suspected that because of the small number of moose in the original transplant, one or more had the gene that causes this and the lack of genetic diversity spread the gene throughout the herd as the herd grew.

Wow doesn't cover it but that is all I can come up with.  Wow.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

So the archery non typical is 226? I guess I'm out of touch with the records.  :dunno: :dunno:
I would be surprised if this buck doesn't go 200.... Width will kill it but lots of tine length.
