Great looking work jasnt. What kind of paint do you use and how well does it hold up? Again, those look very good.
Jasnt is that an xlr element chassis on you first pic?
Not the best picture of the gun. Best I have ever done. My stoger turkey/coyote shotgun painted with the sponge/spray paint technique.

My stoger turkey/coyote shotgun painted with the sponge/spray paint technique.I like it. I've been wanting to try the sponge method for a more bark contrast. I may play with it this winter. I've got an old 30-30 to paint for a friend,I'll post up those pics when I'm finished.
That is some good looking work! Got a feeling that involves a bit more artistic ability than I have.
Nice work jasnt! Care to share your paint and methods?

Think what colors you want then start with the details slowly. Lets say you want a tan back ground with light brown, grey, dark brown, and maybe some green foliage. You paint the hole rifle the color of your finest details first(after primer) then wrap with the stencils, I use alot of string like yarn or heavy fishing line, then paint the next detail color. Then when just dry to the touch add the next layer of stencil(either nor string or rope or split masking tape) then paint next dtail color. This is often when I start tying on the plastic plants. Few at first, I like dark olive first, then paint again, kaki or light green. Adds more plants then paint the back ground color. After it's just dry enough to handle(don't rush it but don't wait till completely setup) and remove all stencils and string. If you want this is the time to clear coat but I normally don't cause it makes it shiny. I like flat colors best.
Nice work! Obviously you have been doing this for a while. Do you recommend any articular type.brand of tape?
This is my daughters extreme long range hunting rig. It was done by a gunsmith friend that specializes in long range rifles as kind of a favor to my little girl, who isn't so little anymore.
Rattle can job on my knight Nice job
Looks great blackpowderhunter! What did you use to get the webbing pattern?
Quote from: lewy on April 08, 2016, 10:21:59 PMLooks great blackpowderhunter! What did you use to get the webbing pattern? It's just a krylon webbing paint you can find at craft stores. I did a matte clear over everything otherwise I feel like the webbing would rub off very easily with use. For clear I used automotive wheel paint clear. In my mind at least that should be a bit stronger and hold up better to any chemicals like cleaner that may come in contact with the stock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
