Lens question for the wifes Christmas present
« on: December 18, 2008, 09:37:07 PM »
Earlier this year I bought the wife a canon EOS Rebel XTI.  It came with a canon EF-S 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6  I would like to get a better quality higher zoom lens so I, I mean she :chuckle: can take better long distant pictures.  But still be able to take good quality close ups of the kids and dead deer :chuckle:  Any suggestions, I want to stay under $500.00  Thanks for the help.

If you watch Craigslist you might find it cheaper there was two on there last month for $450.00

Canon 70-200mm f4/0L

If you have more money step up to the IS

When I pass, do not let my wife sell the guns for what I told her they cost.

Perfect info! That lens is an awesome lens with pinpoint accuracy on focus! You can't hardly beat it!

I have a lens just like this and I love it, you now have two different lenses that you can choose from. ;) :) The hard part is finding a dealer here in Washington that has an L series lens in stock! :(
