The reason the game dept. didn't finish trapping and or shooting the wolves in the huckleberry pack was because grouse and deer season was opening. they were concerned about the public when it came to taking out wolves but on concern about wolves attacking the public.

I talked with the gentleman who was attacked, he said they only looked for a very short time and did not find the wolf.
