best beanie around?
« on: December 02, 2014, 10:19:06 PM »
I'm looking for a good beanie hat that stays tight to my head. I'm sick of these hats spinning around and getting loose throughout the day constantly having to adjust them and what not. I'd be mostly using it for duck hunting so I'd be needing camo, warmth, and a good tight fit. Brands I'm thinking are under armor, sitka, etc??? Any thoughts?

Get a balaclava, covers more area, can be used as a beanie, they come in lots of colors and weights.

Balaclava's are great.  I would go with the first lite balaclava, it's a heavier weight merino product and very comfortable and versatile.  If your dead set on a beanie, both their beanies are nice (with and without brim). I didn't like the Kuiu beanie as it's a bit too lightweight.

I think that's the 1st time a hat ever made me puke a little.

Right On!   I have three of them....black, gray and purple.  You need to color coordinate depending on your outfit.   :chuckle:

I have a UA beanie,I cant recall specifically which one...sorry. It's thin, fleece and camo. I also have a Sitka Traverse beanie. The UA one fits my large dome fairly well but is super tight. The Sitka one is way too small and usually my 7 year old wears it. I wear a size 7 5/8-7 3/4 hat for reference. Just saying...if you have a big head, you might try some on in person before committing to an online purchase.

Here is a link and picture to the best beenie in the world.  You don't need the facemask deployed.....it can be folded up in the hat or over top the hat.
