Short wrap up...went on our annual late mulie hunt, my 2 boys (16 & 17) my dad who just comes to be with us and myself. This would be the first year that I really unleashed them to roam this hills without me tagging along or keeping a watchful eye over them. Only stipulation was that they had to stay together. Long story short, no big bucks but 2 small ones, the boys did great getting a buck down opening morning by themselves! Gutted it and got it down to the road where we could get the truck to it easily. I was so stoked by their actions and how they did. I ended up getting a small one also the same day when trying to get to them. Both our shot were 52 yards and good lung shots. We got close to some other bucks over the next few days but no shots for Bryce my 16 year old. On to Blacktails now I guess!

Congratulations on a very successful hunt.
The young hunters look very proud, as does their father!

How do you measure trying, you do, or you don’t.

Good work Dr., to you and your boys!
I've been hunting with my brother for many, many years now.
Your boys could become lifelong hunting partners. Cool
