Hauling meat with Kifaru DT1

Well i finally made an investment in a pack and picked up the DT1 bag and the duplex frame.  What is the best way to haul meat in a Kifaru pack?  I have heard a lot of people say dry sacks and put it in the main bag.  They do make some attachments you can buy to mount the meat to the frame and compression strap it.  What does everyone prefer?

If the meat has time to cool I drop it into a 65L sea to summit dry bag.

If packing warm meat I just throw the game bags in the main compartment and put the stuff I don't want bloody in the dry bag.

i have a mystery ranch and just put the meat either into game bags and in the main pack or just directly into the main pack!

I am pretty excited to get the pack.  You mean to tell me that people get there hunting pack dirty and bloody?   It seems like the options are endless with this thing.

  there was another thread a while ago where people were saying that they didnt spend $500 on a pack to have it stained in blood and dirt.  i think blood stains in a pack is a badge of honor!

Make sure the bloody pack gets put in the Subaru or Prius as well, so that it might leak a little.

Stone Glacier put up some charts that shows how loading a pack does for weight distribution.  I think you want to keep it as close to the frame as possible.  Whether in the compartment or not, the important thing is to lock it down close to the frame.

You're going to love that pack, I have the DT2.  I packed out several deer with it in November.  I just put the meat in game bags and then put it in the main compartment.  I don't care if my pack gets bloody, that's what I bought it for. 

That thing hauls weight better than any pack I've owned.  Enjoy!

The meat goes in a TAG bag or KUIU xxl meat bag and gets strapped down between the pack and the frame.   Your gear stays clean and in your pack and Meat cools down.

Quick, clean, and packs with the weight close to your body.  IDK if kifaru is like this but KUIU and EXO are.

Black plastic garbage bag then into main bag. always works perfect!

Game bags and throw it right in the pack. Blood stains just make packs cooler. And with a DT1 the pack comes off the frame. Throw it in the tub with some woolite and it cleans right up
