Headlight Aiming Question
«
on:
December 28, 2014, 10:19:00 AM »
Anyone know of a shop they trust in the Buckley/Puyallup/Enumclaw area that does a good job with headlight aiming? the landcruiser I bought seems to be so far off that I would rather have a pro aim them instead of me trying to find a wall to shine the beams on and screwing around with them.
I know there must be shops with beam setters, but my internet search didn't come up with any.
Thanks,
Rick

seems to me that any body shop could probably knock it out for you pretty easy.
I just put in new headlights into my superduty, was pretty easy to aim them really, only took about 15 min start to finish, including measuring the wall and targets.

I did mine by parking on a flat road. Adjust then get back in car to check. Rinse and repeat til it's to your liking. Mine just had a screw to adjust them so it was easy.

Thank you so much for addressing this. One of my biggest pet peaves is people with their headlights aimed into my eyes, instead of on the road. It makes me hate the winter months, because I have to drive in the dark so much more. Adjusting them yourself is very easy. There are screws on the sides and top/bottom of the headlight.

Just pull up to a garage door at night. You can see where the main light cone is projecting against the garage door and adjust accordingly.
If still not sure, have another car pull up next to yours and adjust the beam to match.
