Bone I am with you... with the fluctuation of temps we are keeping more ducks and with a cold snap ready to hit Vancouver Canada it's about to get really good!

They have been holding good.  Eastern WA is seeing some record numbers this year or at least the private clubs with feed.  Been a good year with lot of birds.  To much water may be the only hindrance for some.
Cut em!

November has been good to me, freeze thaw cycles keep the ducks around and off balance. Hopefully it continues.

The ducks were thick this evening.  They were coming off the salt thick like.  Had a fun shoot other than having to lead them about 2' at 20 yards.
Cut em!

That's a far lead I had that happen a few weeks ago... with the winds being so high.... it really separates good shooters and bad shooters

There are probably over 100,000 ducks just in the Burbank refuge on the side we can't hunt.  And for some reason Moses Lake didn't warm up to really eat shallow water ice until yesterday so they are going to stay there for another week.  They will move some but not south according to weather reports.  At least OR has better big game hunting seasons.

I might have to patch up my waders and give it a go this year.  I had about 150 ducks and geese in my grass/barley field yesterday.  No water up there, they were just hanging out mid-afternoon and honking away.  They were sitting there watching my build-crew working on the new shop.

Was wishing I had a stamp and my 870   :chuckle:

Hah! I was wanting to machine-gun them all when I later saw that they pecked and trampled my pecan, apple and white oak saplings.  I say send them to Oregon.

I love that, haha!  They spend $xxx, xxx on reclaimed habitat but the geese couldn't be happier than in a stubble field

They flew the coop, otherwise I would have PM'd you.

I think my turkeys might have bushwacked 'em, they tend to get ornery around other large birds.
