All right, i was on another site and a buddy that i steelhead fish with posted this from today...

"Just got back from scouting the Cowlitz and there is bird activity all the way from town up to Camelot which is as far as I went.
Shot some video of a guy and his grandson snagging the **** out of the smelt @ Camelot using fishing poles with a treble hook & pencil lead.
I let them know that it wasn't open till tomorrow morning but he made all kinds of excuses to justify their actions.
Nothing new there!
I will upload the video in awhile to utube and post a URL for the video.
Uploading the pic's and video I shot right now to my PC.
Better plan on getting after them first thing tomorrow morning.

He is also the one that talked with the smelt bio the other day. If you go do not get mad at me if you don't get all your smelt i am just passing alond what has been seen. This report along with what i saw yesterday in the columbia leads me to believe that tomorrow will be the day to get your smelt.
