WOW! it's amazing that more of them don't die falling. I like how the 2 rams are so different in color.

It was very cool to see and hear them fighting.  Their most aggressive fighting was in some brush and trees where I couldn't get pics but it sure sounded cool when they butted heads.

That is very cool, someday!!!  Thanks for posting.  I watched goats mess around on the cliffs at corral pass, pretty amazing they don't fall very often.

This week I was in Montana and went to north Yellowstone where the earlier pics were taken, as well as these.  The rut seemed to still be going on, I found this group of rams all trying to win the affection of one ewe.

After leaving Yellowstone, I found another group of sheep with some rams still desperately trying to find some receptive ewes.  Notice the hair on the tip of the horn of the last ram photo, when he came running to this group he checked every ewe in the group by either kicking them or a not-so-gentle nudge of his horn.  I don't think he got the memo about sexual harassment.
