I like the look SG, but there still seems to be too much white space. forehead, chin & neck. and don't forget the tip of the nose. the oils in the skin create a shine reflected by lite so it has always seemed to me that its either complete cover or don't waste your time. and Those eye's of yours are gonna attract attention no matter how hard you try to hide.

My beanie was pulled down most of the day but then it was itchy so I pushed it back for a little bit. I will take note for the rest :) I figured shiniest parts get covered to dull them up but I'll cover more next time, thanks!

No pics, but I do wear a little on my face to cover the white and on the back of my hands.

In the early season, I will wear it in a ground blind.

Used to wear camo face paint, hated it, but knew it was effective.  I then discovered light weight headnets and haven't gone back.  They also help keep the bugs out of my ears and off my face during the early season and I have not noticed any reduction in hearing ability.  The only real hassle is trying to blow a call, for ducks/geese you get used to blowing through the net, for open reed style calls I just cut a small opening in front of my mouth.

If bugling for elk, still hunting dark timber or after blacktail bucks I wear face paint a good bit.  I've tried many different face masks and covers.  Never liked a one of them.  Seem to effect my anchor point, fog up my glasses, and many cover my ears and effect my hearing.  And getting mosquitos trapped between a mask and my face and ears drives me mad!!!  I'd rather go without than have a cover, though I am a firm believer in face camo giving better opportunities when on the ground.  Also, you would never catch me hunting ducks and geese without face paint.

Lately I spend more time sleeping in the truck than busting the brush.  So I don't cover the face as much as I did. Especially since late season is stupid cows only.  But the wife is almost always hitting the bush with Larry D. Jones face paint on.  Even if just black to cover the bright white areas it's a great benefit IMO.

I've lost a few digital photos over the years.  So not a large amount of photos to post.  But here are a few recent ones.

Considering how close I get with a big white reflective lens, I think you guys are just wanting an excuse to wear makeup. :chuckle:  Other than that I just grow my face make up

I wear a balaclava... This is so I don't have to worry about sweating the stuff off, or walking into a store looking like a dork, when you forget to swipe it off.
:yeah:
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.

I usually have some growth and that does help break up the huge amount of bright white.  The face paint is for us mere mortals who make mistakes yet still hope to find success despite those "Ooops" moments. ;)

Around here we call people like Bone a "Ferret of the furrier"...means your a sneaky little Falker:

idk if this has been said but if you put baby lotion on your mugs before face paint it washes off real easy with baby wipes, we use to have to camo our faces all the time in the service, and i mean all the time, you re camoed all the damn time :bash: i use to also wear it when i bear hunted

Have your woman go buy you makeup wipes, even the toughest stuck on paint doesn't hold up to some Neutrogena makeup wipes  :chuckle: trust me. They are in a blue package, they have travel size little packages so you can keep in your rig to wash off your face after your hunt is over.

Those of you saying grow your camo, yea, another reason why I have to use the paint.
