Dogtra sells a pretty good setup that you can install yourself, they want about $250.00 for it (cable will cost extra, but you can buy it at Lowes etc). Sportdog sells one too. Petsafe's stuff works as well and they have a couple of wireless options on top of that. The key, once you have the wire in the ground and everything running, is to properly train your dog to the fence. If the dog is running through it the training wasn't done right.IMO you are throwing your money away if you spend $2,300 to have a company come in and do the job for you.
I watched the old man teach a shepard and a dobi not to leave the property by just walking them down the property line repeatedly with a leash, and talking to them the whole time. no mater what the situation was, they never left the yard. and no one that wasn't allowed or invited ever came in. no fence. not sure how he did it but he always said all he had to do was tell them.
Just be careful if you use an e-collar on your dog in the field. They need to be taught the difference. I know of two dogs that were almost ruined by a Pro because he didn't understand how to teach the dogs the difference. Be VERY careful.
10' x 12' kennel. Invisable fences don't work for that stay pit bull that someone dumped at the end of the road.
