I'll take a dozen 125's

A 125 grain version of these super short broadheads won't be available until next year.  They are so flippin' short we actually need to add a 15 grain collar to get them up to 100 grains.  A 40 grain collar would be huge and result in strength and alignment issues.  Even in a four blade model we have been unable to hit the 125 grain target.

We do have two 125 grain heads scheduled for this year, one in titanium and one in aluminum.  They are basically the same blade profile as the original Savora Contender 100.  Only difference being is we are using a thicker blade this time around.  That is the same head I've used for the past 20 years.  Also the same blade MLBowhunting has been using.  It's a great product, but blade length is almost double that of the TripleSec, Madman and Titanium Signature.

The 125 grain version will go into a testing phase as soon as these initial run titanium heads are completed on the machine.  Our hope is that we will be able to make the ferrule from 316 stainless steel.  Problem then will be getting a design light enough to hit the 125 grain limit without running the price out of reach.  That will make it one of the more difficult products to make as it will require some serious scalloping of the ferrule.  I will make sure they meet with D-Rocks approval before we send them to production :chuckle:

Any new news Radsav?  I'm anxiously awaiting an opportunity to get my hands on some of these broadheads!

Madman and Triple Sec are getting packaged this week.  Working a deal out with Carpsniper so we can get some H-W folks a good deal.  OF course at the ATA show we will be talking with many of the other NW Pro-Shops to get heads stocked up as well.  Titanium Signature models are due to arrive this next week too.  May be another month and a half before I get the Ti-Con, Ultra-Con and Super-Flite heads ready to ship. I made a mistake and did not make the blisters large enough for those three heads so waiting on blisters.  We have a great supplier for those so that should not be an issue at all!  About the same time frame to get the 4 blade Madman heads out the door.

My first shipment of Super-Flite heads was made to the wrong ferrule profile.  Those heads are suppose to have a profile all there own.  For some reason the outfit made them exactly like the Ti-Con 100 without the rear scallop.  They are a great little head!  Just not what we wanted the end product to look like.  I'm going to blow out the 1,000 ferrules that came in wrong at a HUGE discount!  I'm thinking we can send a six pack in a poly bag for something like $15.00.  They may end up 99 grains instead of 100 grains, but I don't think anyone will notice.  MAP on the correct Super-Flite will be $24.99 for 3/PK.  So that is one heck of a savings!!!  This is the head I designed for my wife.  She did all the field testing with it including her Big Unicorn bull at 54 yards and the antelope she broke the shoulder on with a 45# bow and still got complete penetration.  Doesn't look fancy, but boy does it perform!

Here is what the wrong SF head looks like.  Normally the point will be just slightly bigger and the ferrule taper slightly less.

Great looking product and local to boot. I'm gonna have to wait for the 125s though. Does the projection look good for a spring release?
