« on: December 13, 2014, 08:20:53 PM »
I saw 2 at the North 40 store in Omak yesterday in 270 and 30-06 for, from what I could read, for right at $1500 each.
Was I right or dreamin' ?

I know they have a 300WM and .308, but the price is close to 10K or something like that for a match grade. Saw them at the shot show and had to walk away my heart could not take the $$ just like the Butler Shotguns from Montana. What can I say I'm cheap!!LOL

I came home and looked at online prices and like wadu1 says, a lot of money. I think it might call North 40 and ask, might have my wife bankroll the 270.......................

Played with the 300 win. Accurate and well built gun. Great price there if they are $1500!

That 300WM fed by a 10 round mag is pretty cool.  Plenty accurate for me, but seemed really finicky about the ammo it would cycle.  I would expect a $5000+ rifle to eat anything I put in it.  I also think that if a manufacturer sends extra parts with the rifle (i.e. extractors), there must be something to it.  The first couple are free, but then you pay after that.  You have to be pretty stable when you fire it, because if your body rolls with the recoil very much, the bolt won't cycle all the way and you end up with a double feed or a smashed/dented top round in the mag.  It really marks up the brass, too.  Large gouges and dented case mouths.  The theory is GREAT, but in my experience, the practical application isn't all that

I was going to say that sounds way to cheap for a Nemo, A coworkers buddy works for Nemo as a Barrell maker and his company discount price on the 300 win mag is around 4500 bucks I was told.
