In the deer world, I think this would be the definition of the word intrigue

Great pic Bone!  That definitely looks like a dandy.

Neat shot....Bone, you think he was just tired from battle/breeding?

Side note......I keep going back to look at the hog you posted......Is that the biggest you have "shot" in Wa? Would you care to give a guess as to the biggest muley by score you have gotten a pic of?

Seeing a buck like that in the thick would certainly 'spark' my interest! ;)

I've seen and chased bigger H20 but getting them on "film"  is a different story.   Its a lot harder to photograph a buck than it is to shoot one.

Interesting....I never really thought about the requirements to get into camera shooting range and have the shot come together compared to getting a shot off witht he intent of taking the animal down. Keep em coming!

Distance, lighting (when do most big animals move), weather, shot window, lighting again (position of the sun and glare),  gear (big glaring lens 15 pounds or so on a tripod or monopod versus swinging up a rifle or bow,   Air quality, movement, composition.   Those are just some quick things that come to mind.  That's all after finding/spotting a Booner where there is hunting pressure from when Sept to December at best, and that doesn't include poaching or tribal harvest.
