Maybe the sign will come down when hunting season is over.

Check the rules Bobcat, there is a Dog training/pursuit season,it starts in August about the 15th ,has a downtime during hunting season and fires back up and runs until april. It doesn't specifically say that you cannot train during hunting season but it does stipulate a time which is 8-4 and that a chicken ticket is required during the hunting season. If you look you will find it.

I don't really care for that new sign. I like that they're giving preference to hunting dogs, but what about guys who want to exercise their bird dogs in the off season? I'm not sure yet if they're also doing this at Scatter Creek, but I used to exercise my dog out there all the time. I haven't been so much anymore, since I have kids now and don't have time, and especially since my Brittany recently went blind. But that will be disappointing if I ever get another bird dog, since one of the reasons I decided to live next to Scatter Creek was so I'd have a place to exercise my dogs.

Wildweeds, I don't doubt that but the sign says dogs are only allowed "while hunting." Not while training.  :dunno:

Pretty sure it is just during hunting season, that is when the conflicts have been happening. Seems screwy though that you can't walk your dog in a field that obviously will not be holding duck hunters

$150 fine for failing to comply with this regulation, and all other non-criminal WDFW lands offenses.

Or the officer could pursue a criminal misdemeanor charge of failing to comply with signs/notices on WDFW lands.
