King's snow shadow. Good stuff.

Here's a couple pics of Bighorns2bushytails in his King's snow shadow. This is really good stuff. We both have the water proof parka's and he has the matching pants. This is really good gear and I just wanted to recommend it. It cuts the wind, keep you dry and hides you very well. I'm not a "camo guy" I could really care less about patterns but this is good stuff. Just wanted to let you coyote hunters know. BTW it's hard to find sometimes. I still havent been able to get pants for myself because they're always sold out. I'm stuck with Natural gear snow camo bottoms but they're just cotton pull overs and I tend to get wet when it's a little warmer out.

I've got the Cabela's Open Country snow camo cover ups.  Works pretty good as well.

I just got a set of Naked North, made from what they call gameskinz, soft,quiet,water proof, breathable,windproof,snow camo. Cully and i went out on saturday, it was -5 when we got out but it warmed up to +7. I love this new stuff, sat in the snow all day and did not get wet or cold at all and the pattern just disappered in the desert snow. Dame I had fun that day, its so nice to be warm and dry sitting in the snow watching the dogs come to the call. Its starting to get very good down here, know that the cold and snow have set in. Now all I can think of is getting out and calling them dogs. WORK SUCKS, But it pays the bills.

I've been waiting for nicer weather so I can head for Cabelas at Post Falls and try on some King's and the other brands, I'm kinda leaning towards the King's but want to do the touchy feely thing first.

I love my Kings gear.  I was a Cabelas guy all my life, but a few years ago I got the parka at Sportsmans and have been beyond impressed with how it performs.  I think the rain gear is the best in the industry too.

I didn't see any at cabelas in the waterproof version. Lots of parkas at sportsmans, but pants were still all gone except for the small sizes. You may want to check there too.

Never done hunting in the snow, but plenty of paintball... usually just grab a tyvek suit and call it good. I've had people use me as cover thinking i was a pile of snow.

Thanks for the heads up, Do the waterproof ones breathe well? I hate ones that don't let the moisture out. Might as well wear vinyl.

Yes it does. The tops are vented too. I don't know about the pants though. It's perfect for my dress style. I where lots and lots of layers and it's relatively lightweight. SoI just where an appropriate ammount of layers. Anyways, give it a look.

all the snow camo stuff is pretty expensive for me so i have just been using white spray suits, and wrap teflon tape over the gun, seems to work well in deep snow for me. i guess thats what you get for being part of a farming family all your life.

Just a thought for those looking for a super cheap, lightweight, and very effective snow camo.  Go to Lowes or Home Depot and pick up a set of Tyvek paint coveralls.  Buy them big so you can easily pull them over your clothes.  They are very inexpensive and are pretty durable.  I lay them out flat and paint some faint color tones with spray paint (by holding the can about 18-20" away) and some hard lines (holding the can closer) to make a very effective snow camo.  Air them out a few days outside, then you can roll them up like a burrito-sized log to keep in your pack for late season hunting.  They are super lightweight and will even act as a light duty rain deterrent.

Not that that King's stuff isn't really great

They have those "goose suits" for about $30 that I wear over everything rather than buying snow camo.  It is really durable, and washable.

After reading this thread I went online and looked at their stuff.  The 4 in 1 parka, which is normally $199.95 is now 50% and on sale for $99.95.  I just bought the parka and pants!  Can't wait to get it.  Hopefully it's okay that I post the address. This is through King's website.

You will love the 4 in 1 parka.  That was my first piece in mountain shadow and it is what sold me on Kings.

That's a great deal on what looks and sounds like some great clothing.  Wish I could afford it. 

For now I'll stick to my Tyvek suits with some spray paint....they are definately NOT waterproof though!  Got really wet this morning.  My fault though, I usually wear my gortex camo underneath it, but forgot it, this morning.  (Coming off the graveyard shift and then going hunting doesn't make for a clear mind).
