packable light weight rain gear

All,
I am looking to pick up some packable light weight camo rain gear for early archery season.  Im not wanting to break the bank.  I just need something that I can pack in my backpack and have access in case some rain comes in. The stuff I have now is geared towards cold weather.  Any suggestions?

That would be a great deal if I wasn't a shot guy.  XL pants wouldn't work for me.

In my opinon if your not looking to break the bank you'll probably end up with stuff that only works ok.  I spent good money on the firstlite boundry jacket this year, small light and it works, but not cheap.  I will be buying the pants this year.

Frog Toggs are pretty popular. I have/had the Cabelas Space Rain stuff. It's nice but it doesn't handle brush very well. Mine got tore up so bad on a hiking trip last summer I cut the pants off and made waterproof shorts.

There are quite a few different brands of the light, packable, camo rainproof suites. My cabelas catologs have many choices.  Mine are midrange in price, quiet, they have a nice soft suade feel so they dont make noise when you walk, and they dont shine in the sun. Mine have held ip good for ten years but the mesh liner has torn and i had to sew it up. I tore a small hole in one leg, and superglued it back together and its like it never happened.  I would buy another set if i was in the market. I think mine are called "Gamehide".are it was about $150 for the suit i think. Packs to about the size of a boot for both pieces.
 There are some less expensive ones at Bi-Mart. Would do the job, but they will be noisier and will shine a little more in the sun. I think you can get the ones i saw for about 70a bucks for the whole outfit.

Browning Gore-Tex PacLite has been really good to me.  I have heavier stuff I wear most of the time.  But when I need extremely lightweight for in my pack that is the stuff I carry.  Had mine for about 10 years and have only repaired a couple holes.

Browning did do the unthinkable with the pants and put a stupid elastic band around the ankles.  Made the pants absolutely worthless!!!  But nothing a single snip with a pair of scissors couldn't fix

They are not cheap but very well made.  My everyday rainwear is Under Armor.  Only thing I will wear from UA actually.  But, UA is not what I would call packable or light weight.

I Bought the Boundary Stormtight from first lite earlier this year, after running through close to a half a dozen other "waterproof" jackets. I was pretty impressed with it. Light!, pretty quiet for an outer shell, breathable and pretty damn waterproof. it did fine in all day light rain and the occasional cloud burst. however, I did get caught in a 4 hour western Washington late October downpour, and it held up for a few hours but ultimately water started seeping in I was kinda bummed cuz I thought this was the one I could have a lasting relationship with. I think i'm gonna give the Kuiu Yukon a shot. My quest for waterproof bottoms however, is over! Cabelas instinct backcountrys money! pricey but worth every penny. tinder dry all day every day. didn't matter if it was raining sideways, busting through chest deep ferns and salmonberries or going through walls of soaked reprod. they are dry and tough as nails. a little loud but bearable. very packable as well
