Man I hate these sad threads, losing a family member is unbelievably hard. I know exactly what you guys are going through, and I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. We lost our KC last year cause my daughters dumb azz ex boyfriend ran her over in our own yard. The pain was unreal, I hope you all remember the short good times you had. Dogs do go to heaven, no doubt!! Take care

Terribly sorry to hear that. Our 5yr old black lab did the same two years ago Dec. 18th. All I can say is time will help but honestly it still hurts to this day. Prayers to you and your family.

So sorry for your loss. I lost my childhood dog the same way when I was in fourth grade. My parents wouldn't get another dog. I was heartbroken. I got my own dog a month after buying my first house. Had been planning it ever since Abby was hit. It's impossible to replace a beloved pup but a new addition will help the heart grow in a new direction. Hard to think about right now I know.
I have a 2 year old son and 4 year old daughter. They will never go without a dog.
