I have a proto fab on my f350 works great, bang for the buck its hard to beat. It was just under a grand unfinished. (they send it to you just bare metal) I painted mine with that spray on truck bed liner.

I hit 3 in two years, two of which ran into the fender of my truck.  Front bumper quard really wouldn't have helped much.  I was skeptical, but I bought an electronic deer whistler, and it sure seems to be helping.  I haven't hit one now in the three years I've had it and I drive a lot in the Hunters/Cedonia area where deer on the road are a constant problem.  Whistler seems to send them running away from the noise and one side effect is turkeys gobble back like crazy to it. Electronic ones work at any speed, whereas the usual ones are wind activated and only work well when you're driving at a fairly high speed.  Only cost around $30.00 and install in minutes. Might try one before you pop a lot of money into a bumper guard.

baldo got it right.  the e-deer whistler does work.  $30 is cheaper than a bumper or radiator.    mike w

Probably not the greatest idea to drive around full time with a plow on the front blocking all the air flow into the engine helping to keep it cool. SOP back in the land of real snow was to avoid doing this.

Those Buck Stop Bumpers are burly but super heavy. If it's not a 3/4 ton at least, I'd be looking at upgrading the front suspension due to the added weight. We had to take one off a super duty at work the other day and ended up using our forklift.

ARB ive crnter punched two deer doing 55+ with my arb on my tacoma bent the license plate and that the extent of the damage

I just had a Iron Cross bumper installed with a 8000lb Warn winch, not sure I want to test it on a deer but it looks pretty stout.

My wife hit a deer and she had deer whistles on he car. They don't work.
