Lower parts kit? Good quality low cost?
« on: December 20, 2014, 05:46:39 PM »
I'm just looking for a kit that will work decently but not cost more than the lower.

I'm hoping to get an Anderson lower, would it make sense to get their lower parts kit?

Look at new frontier polymer lowers, I bought a complete lower for $130.
I use it with my 6.8 spc ar-upper

Tagging along to see what everyone's thoughts/experiences/recommendations are, looking for an LPK for my project as well.

Del-Ton or CMMG always work well for me.

90% percent of most mil-spec lower parts kits are exactly the same with a different name and price. Lower parts kits are lower parts kits with the acception of the fire control group.

:yeah: Buy a lower kit without a fire control group and buy a better trigger. Alg makes the Qulaity mil spec trigger and the ACT trigger both much better then the factory trigger found in most kits. I am using a lot of the ACT triggers in my builds and customer builds.

If you were thinking about a geissele trigger, this is a great buy. You're basically getting the lpk for free. I just paid 250 for this same kit from psa. http://www.slickguns.com/product/super-semi-enhanced-lower-parts-kit-featuring-geissele-ssa-e-trigger-22995-650-sh

That one's a little out of my price range.  Thanks though.  I picked up my Anderson lower today, sucks it had to be purchased as a "handgun" so now it is "registered".  Guess I'll still have to do an 80%....   ;)

I think the way to go Loki is to find some one who has "Upgraded" and has all thier extra lower parts. I know i have seen all kinds of stock accessories and such CHEEP on CL. I think that is the way to really save a few buck IMO... Plus because there are some real deals out there for new stuff there has to bee a bunch of used stuff cheep around.

I got a Rock River LPK with the two-stage trigger for $150.
I'm pretty happy with it.
