I'd go with your Savage LRH over the Remington.... fewer recalls.
Ha! This should be good. I've shot 300.00 Savage factory rifles that have shot as well as some 2600.00 custom builds I have had done. Both easily under half MOA.

Haven't shot a savage with a good factory trigger either. Most these factory triggers this days are junk. To heavy, lots of creep, inconsistent. Try a good timmeny or jewel and you'll never want to go back.
Rem lr 700. 7 mm or 300wm cabellas $699.00

Ruger m77 mkII's/Hawkeyes.
REM 700 and put the rest in to trigger and good chasi. Good rule of thumb is spend the same on your glass as the rifle. That said I love my vortex viper PST!!!! Good glass, tracks true, and has taken a BEATING!!!!

That scope is sitting on top of a REM 700 sps varmint 26" in a XLR Industry's chasi. the acu-trigger is pretty good for a factory trigger. But can't even run in the same race as a timmeny. thanks for the laugh tho
