Deer Shed patterns?

You experienced deer shed hunters...what consistent patterns, if any, have you observed over the years? Do bigger bucks shed earlier or later than small bucks? Whitetails before/after muleys? Or???

Whitetails the mature bucks 4 1/2 and older always start dropping here in mid december to late december..very rarely do I see young bucks ever drop in december and dont think I have ever found or captured on cam a young buck dropping in dec.

White tails start before Mules, and generally mature tend to be first.

Most whitetail drop before muleys and most bigger bucks whitetail/mule deer drop before smaller ones. Mtn bucks drop way before low land bucks and the cooler and I mean cooler temps usually speed up the process on them shedding. But timber/mtn bucks drop before low land/valley bucks

Overall generalization I'd say yes, but elk aren't as cut and dried I don't think.  More variability with them.

True, on a serious note, I've seen twin 5 points with head gear on the last weekend of April before.

Dude, if I wait till June, you will have already scooped them all up!! I went up after a load of firewood last weekend, and I couldn't help myself, I had to stumble around for a while and look for sheds.

I agree with what has been posted. All the mature blacktails  that I have gotten on cam have dropped well before the young bucks. Late December is the earliest I've seen.

elk in NE WA have antlers on every year in mid april and into late april

Saw three Whitetail Bucks today.  All had both antlers.  Belly deep snow.
