Why would you want to shoot those things?

Sometimes I shoot at them, I can't seem to kill them. I think you have to break them down. Idk if they band them

I've never heard of a banded coot :dunno:   Do they migrate? :dunno:

Saw two banded coots a few weeks back when about 1k of them were all standing on the edge of the ice.  They were about 20 yards from me in my rig.  Just couldn't hunt them where they were located.
Cut em!

They usually migrate at night. Iv never seen one banded in real life but I'm Shure they do band them. I don't shoot them but is rather shoot one over any stinky fish eating  megansser anyday :IBCOOL.

Had a buddy shoot a coot his first year hunting a while back. We sent him off jump shooting and he came back with a shat eating grin on his face saying he got one. He held it up and I started cracking up. He had no idea....  :chuckle:

I will admit that back when I was younger I swatted a few sitting on the water to get a dog some work. My uncle's neighbor loved them so we would give them to my uncle. Can't beat taking one shot into a tight group of birds and seeing darn near your limit belly up.  :IBCOOL:

You all will be surprised to hear this from me... but they eat, ...wait for it... just fine.   :chuckle:  Cool to get a banded one, I've never heard of that before.
