" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Those pictures are all from the same camera over the last 2 summers.

This GMU is one that will close to lion hunting 1/2.

Last year, hunters harvested 182 cougars statewide, up from 156 in 2012, 145 in 2011, and 108 in 2010. Ware said the number of cougars harvested this season is expected to be similar to last year.

It proved that Number of harvest increased faster this year than last year because Last  year they closed end of March but this year they push back early to close Jan 2 cuz its over population make easier for any hunter to shoot.  It increased almost as Twice since 2010.  It's going out of Control for sure.

I think all of the GMU's on the west side of the Blues closed on 31 Dec last year.  We have a few that will be open for a little longer this year.....a week or two maybe.
It never changes, but it is always different.
