We shoot them in vineyards and orchards because they chew the Heck out of drip lines. A lot more damage them mice.

:bdid:      What kind of idiot shoots the one thing that is keeping rodents from chewing the heck out of your vines or trees in orchards.Just ask yourself one question: Why are those dogs in the vineyard? Do they eat grapes or fruit when none is present? I lived in Canada and we spent a lot of money to wrap our trees and grapes because of rodents but the snow would get above the wrap and the mice could girdle them unless we had predators.  I wouldn't mess with coyotes or fox and bobcats as they kept the mice and rats from striping my trees. A good dog will keep them away from the barns and chickens and other stock.
your better off shooting the coyotes and ill tell you why.  more coyotes you kill the more young there will be next year. young coyotes must eat more than an adult coyote because they are growing. they also rely more on rodents than older more exp. coyotes.

Who cares if you are shooting out of the vehicle if you were on private property with the landowner and there are problem dogs I'd shoot everyone of them out of the truck.not like you're on the side of the highway shooting deer...

Any follow up...? I want to know if you ha a chance to go back out and shoot more. I have access to a huge vineyard and have been thinking yote hunting on it would be fun with a shotgun or maybe night time.
