The "wow" white tails's little brother??
« on: December 29, 2014, 06:18:46 PM »
At first I thought this was the "wow" white tail since it was the same area before the rifle season opened up. But looking at both the antlers and the facial features it is a different one. One snap was all I got on this guy, sitting the same area as the "wow" buck, dark enough in there that I used a Canon flash on top of the set up.
Now if I could see them in my scope, well, perhaps the end of my smoke pole since I went to that for deer starting this year.   I have not seen any like this in that area since that year. Lots of bucks, but nothing like these two.

I am currently using a pair of Canon 1DMKIII bodies, with any combination of my 70-200 2.8 IS, 400 2.8 IS, and 1.4 or 2.0 TCs.  I very seldom use my 100-400 (which I may put up for sale soon) anymore as I prefer the extra exercise I get carrying around the extra weight of the 400 monster. Tripods are a must, and sometimes I use a flash either on camera of off to the side somewhere fired remotely.
