« on: December 28, 2014, 01:21:47 PM »
I bought this rifle awhile back and have not shot it until today,I ran the hornady .58 grain V max through it and wooza, what a shooter..I bought it with a cheaper scope on it and will update the scope quick if not sooner..Even with the heavy duplex It was 3/4 inch group by the time I got it zeroed in at 100 yrds,,I love it when a gun fits and performs well....

I do believe the Weahtherby Vanguards are the same barreled actions as the Howa 1500's and made by the Chinese. My 257 Weatherby is a shooter too.

Good choice youngman............

your correct     put my vanguard in a Blackhawk axiom stock. Barrel cools quickly with all that air flow under the barrel

Howa has always been made in Japan. It's stamped "made in Japan" on my Vanguard barrel. When did they start making them in China?
