:chuckle: I don't know about that.  What I should have also said is that I have had trouble with 11's going igniting powder before.  I don't shoot/experiment anywhere near as much as you do, I shoot cheap muzzleloaders too :yike:

But were they #11's just regular number #11's or were they the #11 MAG caps or even better and hotter are the RWS 1075+ Dynamint Noble caps...

There is a big temp difference between regular #11's and the hotter MAGS

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!

Yeah I probably wasn't using the Magnums.  Biggest thing for me is having a simple possibles bag and using muskets allows me to not use a capper/decapper.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Well, I am not complaining, I use musket caps and don't have misfires.  Thanks though

Me too, been shooting musket caps on my disc extreme with no issues. I have never had one fall off either. I also don't know what all this talk about crimping is, I just push mine on hard with one finger and its there to stay  :dunno:.

Looks like a musket nipple.  You should be able to fit that with any Traditions nipple.  At least on mine I could.  On my Optima, the nipple is part of the breech plug, so I have to use musket caps.  I think I like them better anyway.  Haven't had a misfire yet.

How do the no.11's work with pellets?

Sorry I midded this one ...

DONT DO IT!!! or I should say only if you still shoot the old Pyrodex with the starter strip. 777 pelletts dont have the starter strip and if you look close on the packaging the small print says "Not recomended for No.11 percussion"
