What's a good aftermarket waterfowl choke??

Best thing to do is pattern your gun to see what gives you the best pattern not all guns will pattern the same choke good. I use Carlson and kicks

Kicks choke tubes are my favorite and i have shot very well with them.

Trulock. Mod for longer shots and Skt for feet down over the decoys. I use on SBE and Browning Gold. Shoot mostly Kent Fasteel #2 and some Federal 2's.

 I use whatever choke it is that has been stuck in the end if my barrel for the last 30 years. Probably factory Remington choke. This year averageing 17 birds per box (25ct) of #4's. Doesn't hurt at all for someone to try and get better results but, gadgets alone won't do it. Most of the time I will not take a low percentage shot (due to my knowledge of my own shooting weaknesses) but sometimes I just can't help it or didn't recognize what started out as a good percentage opportunity drifted into a low percentage opportunity shot. LOT's of variables in the world of waterfowling!! Happy hunting.

WTF is that suppose to mean?? "Learn to hunt"?? The 3 of us shot 18 ducks before noon in less than ideal conditions. I'm not complaining, but like all things I strive to improve

What are you shooting now? I think the factory mod in the m2 is a great all purpose choke.

Right now I'm using the factory mod in the m2 shooting mostly cheap Federal and Winchester #2's and some #3's. I'm an experienced shotgunner and the gun does have a 26" barrel. Before I get blasted about it should be a 28" or 30" I've always liked a 26" better.
I am going to experiment with other ammo as well.
I understand all the variables in hunting and that gadgets aren't always the answer. I'm addicted to trying new gear and techniques is my problem!!

It means exactly what it says.

If you have to sky bust to kill birds your doing it wrong. I like a patternmaster for dense patterns. I don't use it as a crutch,on days I have trouble finishing birds.

Anyone can be a shooter.

It's a new gun that I never even patterned before I used in the field. In fact I never even took it to the clay range. It's been fired probably less than 50 times now
My other gun is a Benelli Ultra Light and I'm pretty deadly with it on pheasant, chukar and quail.

I picked up the blackout extended range about a month ago and have been dropping birds I would Never even think about pulling the trigger on with my factory choke. I am also getting a lot less cripples.

Exactly why the Patternmaster choke is the choice of many waterfowlers out there.
