That little guy will have you puppy whipped in no time.  All that "work" will be worth every minute and every Pennie you put into him.  Enjoy every day you have with him. The time goes by way to fast.

funny their guarantee is only 24 months on hips and eyes. You can't get a pups OFFA Hips tested until the dog is over 24 months and it takes some time to get the results back. Eye problems don't start until after two years in most cases. The titles they list in the "lineage" of their blood lines are not titles.

Just an FYI.

Problem with OFA as far as I can tell is you can keep taking x-rays until you get what you want. You can, or at least could, also resubmit and depending on the results from the registry you can even get some vets, and VTH's, to call them and dispute their judgement on your behalf and occasionally it even works.

It's better than nothing but it's something to keep in mind as a buyer.

Sorry for the hijack.

actually you can't. Once the OFFA board decides it is tough to dispute the panel of 6 specialists whom review all submitted films. You can chose not to have results posted  :chuckle: this is why you often see hips listed but, no elbow results.

It's not as tough as you might think. If you get rads done at a teaching hospital and they give one rating and you submit them to the OFA folks and they rate it lower phone calls can and do get made. The system is not perfect and at the end of the day OFA is a money making registry.

It's certainly a cert everyone should demand, but the system is not infallible.
