Backyard bucks...

Since I have tons of deer in the yard all the time I will just start one picture thread here for a while showing what I have had in my yard. We've lived here for 29 years now and I still cannot take one of the "pets". If I do that I lose my excuse to the wife to go out the rest of the season to hunt and she would have a huge list of things for me to do.

At what point do the pets stop being pets and represent a meal on the table. Sounds like you pets need a thinning

We are close enough to areas open to hunting so they get thinned every year. It's my choice not to shoot the yard deer, I like getting out to hunt better than saying I got one.

A few of our backyard deer. I have around 25 mulies and 25 whitetail that I feed during the winter. Some choose to live here year round.
