I would have had 0 issues ventilating one of them, but my father in law didn't want one running into the neighbors yard and bleeding all over the place.... Unfortunately it wasn't up to me. This year will be different. My goal is to harvest all my animals before you, so I'm entitled to my chest thumping.

A few of our backyard deer. I have around 25 mulies and 25 whitetail that I feed during the winter. Some choose to live here year round.
I drive by your place all the time, usually can't see the deer because all the turkeys are in the way!! :chuckle:  I've got about the same amount around my house all winter, wife loves to see them, but hates that they eat everything she tries to grow.

A good reason I leave some brush on the property.

There is no greater respect to have for wildlife than to harvest an animal fairly and use it's flesh to feed your family.  ~me
