Spring Bear Applications
« on: January 07, 2015, 03:37:26 PM »
Has anyone bought and submitted their spring bear applications yet? Since the regs aren't released how are we supposed to know what all areas and how many permits are available to apply for. I usually try to submit my applications as early as possible.

All the bears are hunted out  :chuckle: in our area.....you will want to put in for Skagit for sure. Big bears up there that spent tons of time walking just inside the gates along the grassy roads.

first time ever putting in for a draw permit in Washington. do I have to buy a tag before or if I get drawn. seems kinda like a rip off if you pay for a bear tag and then don't get drawn

Buy tag, put in for draw. If drawn, hunt away, if not, tag is good for general season. Not an easy tag to fill.

Nah, no worries.  Serious about it being a hard tag. Lotta info gets shared on here about spring bear. Hope you draw. My avatar is my bear from spring a season or so back.

It's no different than deer and elk. You need the tag first, then you can apply for special permits. The tag can still be used for general season if you don't draw a special permit.

Last time I roamed around the Monroe area all the Bears I saw were 500 lbs plus, and I saw truck loads up them.

Don't believe anything H20 has to say. He's never seen a bear in his life. His avatar photo is probably some other poor souls bear he is trying to take credit for.
