You will need a guide in the wilderness area unless you know somebody there that is willing to get a resident guide permit.  What area are you thinking of, I have been hunting over there for the past 5 years.

What unit you thinking about?
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

Labs07--

do not plan on going in the wilderness area. Sticking to BLM or forest service land. North of cokeville. I have a Greys river, kemmerer ranger district map that I've been looking at an then checking stuff on google earth. I'm not looking for anyone's secret spot . Just looking to be pointed in any direction that will get me away from people. What should a person expect. Is it people all over or is it fairly easy to escape people an pressure? We would like to ideally spike in 2/3 miles an hunt from there.

Skyvallhunter---

No unit in particular. We're gonna apply for a general archery tag.

I don't believe Wyoming has general archery tags. The tags that are specifically archery are the "type 9" and they are for limited quota units. The general tag, if that's what you get, will be good for all of the "general" units during the regular rifle season. If you want to hunt archery you buy the archery license to go along with your general tag, and that allows you to hunt those same general units in September.
