As a reference, and to be "that guy", if you hunt wilderness you need a guide. There should be 1000's and 1000's of acres and areas you can hunt without paying for a guide. If you decide to pay for a guide (usually upwards of 4-5000) I'd suggest non-typical outfitters. They are top notch in my opinion. Another neat thing about guiding in Wyoming, they are given 100 sq miles that they are "allowed to hunt". Meaning they can't go into some other outfitters drainage to hunt. You or I could hunt all we wanted there unless it is wilderness. If you have a friend that is a resident they can fill out a paper and get a "guide's" license for a year to go with you into the wilderness. I agree with the above, about Region G being awesome. It does get a lot of pressure but there are quality deer to be had. If you are looking for once in a life time type, save up and put in for 128-1...Rut hunt near Dubois for mule deer. From what I know it is the only rut hunt in a true winter ground in the state for trophy mule deer.
