11 deer point hunt partner
« on: January 12, 2015, 04:42:07 PM »
I have 10 quality points and will have 11 with this permit application session. Just wondering if anybody with similar amount of points would be interested in applying together to try and get a group hunt? I did this last year with Bobcat and we were unable to draw but he did draw and shot a nice sheep so I don't think he was too disappointed.

Reason I do this is two fold. First is that I would much rather hunt with another guy with a tag versus hunting on my own or just having a spotter. I don't mind giving up a little bit of odds, since they are already so darn low, for the chance to hunt with someone. The second reason is I like meeting new people to hunt with. Last reason is it would be nice to split up time/money as far as scouting goes, paying for gas and all that. The more time spent pre season the better for both hunters.

What weapon and what general area?  I would have been on board I've been looking for someone to do this with for years, I have twelve points, but I finally found someone.  Even though he's only got 6 points.

I am pretty open to weapon and location. I live in East Wenatchee so Entiat or surrounding units are appealing because I could easily scout them. I mostly bow hunt but also have a smoke pole and rifle so I am cool to whatever works for both parties. I am trying to plan an out of state elk hunt as well as going back to montana for deer so this would be something that if I don't draw a permit, I most likely wouldn't hunt deer here at all so weapon really doesn't matter.

With the current discussion about RadSav's luck, or lack there of, I'm guessing he is excluded?  :chuckle:

I have 13 and would consider applying with you for the same reasons. I usually apply for chiwawa and entiat rifle quality hunts but would consider any hunts and any weapon. Have 13 for the buck category as well. I to plan out of state hunts so if I don't draw a tag here in Washington no big deal.
