Cannot wait.  Was skunked in my first season last year.  Confident this time.

I've been blanked the last 2 years for a spring bird using a bow.  I'm hoping I can pull it off this year without getting busted. :chuckle:  I did get a nice Reinhardt turkey target for Christmas so it's time to practice.

I can't wait!  I've decided to go 100% bow this year.  Leaving the shotgun home so I'm not even tempted to use it.

With the warm weather, the flock that lives below me is already venturing up on the hill to look for green shoots.  The toms are more vocal in the evenings and mornings too.

Last years hatch was good too so I can't wait to see how many jakes there are this year.

Tonymiller7.  You might just want to throw a shotgun in your pile of stuff to take.  I took my bow last year and in the middle of my hunt my bow string broke!  Luckily I grabbed my kid's 20g before going out the door.  It's a bummer to have a major equipment failure with no back-up.  Hmmm, maybe a second bow?  Good luck!

How'd your string break?  Cut?

Did you draw and have it break?

It was a full draw when the string broke down by a cam.  From what I have been able to read online it isn't the first time that this has happened with a Hoyt 2013 Charger.  The string was replaced no charge but if it happens again I'm going to either get new cams or a new bow.  It wasn't a fun experience.
