I do my fritters a little different. I chop the clams, instead of grind (maybe I'll try to grind em next time). Chopped clams go in a mixing bowl with a couple eggs, then I cook most of a pack of bacon (chopped into small pieces) and a finely chopped onion in the same pan. All that, including the bacon grease, goes into the mixing bowl with the clams and egg. Then I add crumbled saltines as a binder. Form into patties , season with a little garlic salt and cracked pepper, and fry them in olive oil....it's true: bacon makes it better.

Thanks for the fritter recipe, and glad your son and you had a great time!

We went to Ocean Shores the last weekend and had similar luck, so I have a lot of clams to eat now... especially since the fella doesn't eat them!  :yike:
I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.

I have literally never met a person who did not like properly cooked fresh razor clams. Get him to try some.
