What ever scope you go with I'd mount it with a 20moa rail

check the bullet trajectory first at the ranges you want to shoot , then compare it with the adjustability of the scope. 20 MOA rails sometimes are not needed...
:yeah: if itll get to your anticipated max range you wont need a rail. Most times a standard mount will allow for lower mounting and better cheekweld. Unless the rail is needed. Im guessing youll need 19-22 moa to get to 1k with the known long range bullets so that could he within adjustment of the scope. And if you have no desire to shoot long range you wont need a rail or turrets on the scope.

to add to that, a 30-378 can push a 230 berger fast enough, I doubt he would need a 20 MOA base even at a mile..

well, with that cannon, what is the barrel twist, and what bullet are you going to use....the 30-378 has some huge potential

the only logical bullet choice would be 230 bergers!  :chuckle: the mag length will be the limiting factor with that rifle.

Huskamaw 5-20 is being mounted on it once I get it back from the shop from being cerakoted and the stock dipped. Loads will be the 230gr Bergers  ;) My buddy is setting the entire rifle up, he's a rep for Huskamaw so he is extremely good with them. Really looking forward to this project taking shape. And yes the scope has a lifetime warrently  :chuckle:
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

I'd look at New 4-24 Luppy with cds.  Haven't had any problems with Leupold 6-20 on 338-378

Unfortunately, the factory barrel will be it's biggest limiting factor.
