Coyote with trail cam

I got some pictures of a coyote today from another camera, and I guess I'll just add them to this thread. This camera is set up for deer, but didn't get any deer, just the coyote. I was using an external battery and somehow it died unexpectedly, and it has been dead for at least a week, so who knows what I missed. This coyote must be a young and dumb one, because normally they run as soon as the red infrared light flashes.

My other spot, where I got the coyote last time, didn't get many customers this last week. Only a hawk, and this raccoon. (too bad the infrared flash from the camera scared it off)

In 2 years of a few baited camera sites I have only gotten 1 picture of a coyote. I got another picture last year of what I think was a coyote but it was really a bad picture.

Here's a pack of 3. The third one is bottom center. Had camera set up on deer/elk tail trying to get pics of a big blacktail i had missed the yr before. Never got him on camera but lots of does and elk plus these cyotes showed up a few times

Still no bobcats, and the coyote has been coming around but won't come all the way in to the bait, due to the infrared flash on the camera.

Checked it again today, got a couple daytime pictures of the coyote.

Nope, there's no wolves around here. They'd probably starve, due to a lack of deer and elk to eat.

Nice pictures and video. Just picked up a Moultrie M 990 I  and have used it in the back yard to capture images of a doe and her fawn from last year. Works great and does not spook them.

a wolf can survive any where a coyote can.  They just run a bigger territory.
Love the pics tho    One tip I've used for getting coyote pics at night.
Place your cam up high (7'-8')and angled down. The light from the cam dosent seem to spook then as easily from above

Everyone keeps saying it is the infra red scaring them off  Looks more like it is some kind of noise

Could just be the little light that lights up when the sensor see's movement or sound like you say. But putting mine up over their head has worked well

I think it would work well to put it up higher, but in this spot there are nothing but stumps, so that's what I've got the cameras on, so I can't go any higher. What I need is one of the low glow cameras or whatever they call them. But I'm done buying trail cameras. Plus I don't really care about the coyotes coming in or not, I'm trying to get photos of bobcats.
